Asana Lab: Overview

Grow Your Practice with Support

Co-led by Annie Girvin and Elizabeth Gross, this series will provide in-depth guidance on a variety of yoga asana (poses) that often require more focused support. Throughout the series, you will work to refine the physical components of your practice and get to the heart of poses by exploring alignment coupled with breath-work and somatics.

Our intention is that you’ll form a deeper relationship with yourself through your asana practice in a way that can be sustained over a lifetime.

We’ll explore the major categories of asana over 4 weeks, see schedule below.

Whether there's something you're drawn to or you’ve struggled with, there's a lot you can learn. We're hoping that when these postures come up in your classes or practice, you’ll be able to approach them with a renewed sense of confidence and curiosity.

Full Schedule

Every Saturday for 4 weeks starting May 17 and ending June 7. Classes run from 9-11:30am.

Things to know:

  • This series is best suited for individuals who have been practicing yoga asana regularly for at least 6 months.

  • Each 2.5-hour session will open with meditation grounding us in the theme and lesson review from the previous week, then we will move into a 75- to 90-minute practice with hands-on and personalized guidance.

  • At the end of each session, we will engage in reflection time through journaling and the option to share insights with the community we form together.

  • Students will receive a 30-min check in with one of the main teachers during the series (if your register for the full series)

Student inquiry will influence how we focus each session and allow us to best support your unique journey. Bring your questions and an open mind!
