COURSE DESCRIPTION

Vinyasa yoga is a dynamic style that links yoga postures together using the breath. While it is creative and free-flowing, there is a structure to it, and once you understand that structure you can create a practice tailored to your needs.

In this down-to-earth yoga workshop, you learn the components of a vinyasa yoga practice thorough a balanced blend of flowing movement and easy-to-follow alignment instructions. You also receive instruction in sequencing, breathing, and meditation.

Through journaling, group discussion, and brief talks on the history and philosophy of vinyasa yoga, you connect with others in a welcoming atmosphere. You also discover yoga’s potential to increase flexibility and strength, decrease stress, and initiate continuous transformation, both inside and out.

You leave with an understanding of the template of vinyasa yoga and the tools and confidence to create a successful practice at home.

Those new to yoga, or those wishing to learn more about vinyasa yoga, are welcome. A basic level of fitness is recommended—you should be able to sit down on and stand up from the floor easily.
